“Mobile operators and resellers are moving away from traditional consumer business, and shifting their focus towards the IoT market. We have collaborated with BillRun, creating the most advanced, agile, combined IoT BSS/OSS solution on the market, catering to the needs of any IoT operator,” says Liran Kessel, CEO of EyesOnT.
Mini IoT ecosystem
“One of the challenges for mobile operators in the IoT market is to provide their customers with the ability to self-manage and monitor their IoT devices. The challenge is greater as these companies grow, and as their deployment becomes dispersed and fragmented”, said Liran Kessel, CEO of EyesOnT.
“This is exactly where EyesOnT IoT management platform comes in”, Kessel explains. “Our consolidated provisioning, optimization and management infrastructure enables large corporations and their customers to control functionality even in millions of devices, with minimal connectivity costs. MVNOs can receive alerts regarding a potential malfunction of a single device, a region or even an entire deployment, and can easily analyze usage patterns”, he said.
Kessel points out that these enterprises need a billing solution for monetizing their services. “We were looking for an advanced, flexible billing solution that would complement the EyesOnT platform”, Kessel said. “By collaborating with BillRun, we were able – together – to create a mini-IoT eco-system, offering a combined, affordable, fast time-to-market solution that meets the IoT needs of any operator”.
A complete IoT package provides added value
When asked why EyesonT decided to partner with BillRun, Kessel replied: “We saw great potential in partnering with a company that specializes in billing. Collaborating with BillRun enables us to provide mobile operators and enterprise customers entering the IoT world, with a complete IoT eco-system for managing an IoT deployment.”
According to Kessel, this partnership is a natural fit between two startups that complement each other. The two companies are currently collaborating on a project for a U.S. SIM-card provider for IoT and M2M devices. BillRun manages the billing and charging, whereas EyesOnT oversees all the aspects pertaining to SIM cards, including their assignment to devices and plans, activation and deactivation.
“By utilizing the latest, most advanced technologies and agile development tools, we attain rapid development cycles, providing cost-effective, short time-to-market solutions that meet specific customer needs”, he pointed out.
In reference to the recent ransomware cyber-attacks on worldwide organizations, Kessel commented that “As two startups based in Israel – a world leader in information security – we both place great emphasis on the safety of information. By combining our resources, we provide added value, offering a better, safer solution than any two random vendors in these fields.”
