BillRun’s quick installation saves time and money
Traditional billing systems can take between 24-36 hours for each billing cycle, consuming many resources, and are therefore often programmed to run on weekends. By contrast, when Golan Telecom runs their end of month billing cycle using BillRun, it takes less than 3 hours and can be run on any weekday. This saves sizable resources, freeing up bookkeeping personnel for more pressing daily tasks.
Golan Telecom reported a completely seamless switch to BillRun’s billing system, which was installed quickly and integrated efficiently, providing full backward and forward compatibility. Once the system was installed, Golan simply had its QA personnel verify that all subscriber information was transferred properly, and they were up and running in no time. In the long run, this move will save Golan Telecom up to 50% in time and resources.
Flexibility is the name of the game
“BillRun’s monthly billing cycle is exceptionally fast and can handle charges according to each business specification, no matter how intricate the calculations,” says Ofer Cohen, CEO of BillRun. “It can implement any customer plan and generate charges of all service types – whether mobile, landline, internet, TV, or any combination. Scaling is easy with BillRun, so if your customer base grows, all you will need to do is add more HW resources. “
“Each year,” explains Cohen, “Golan Telecom offers its 45-day plan – a comprehensive service package of free unlimited overseas talk, text and data, covering 16 countries, is valid for 45 days over the summer vacation. It took BillRun only 3 days to implement this program, plus 2 additional days required for QA, so that in one week this elaborate plan was up and running.”
Open-source no-maintenance billing
Old billing systems require intensive maintenance due to their schema-database structure and legacy programming abilities, so users are limited to a fixed scheme, making it difficult to add new fields that accommodate new types of data.
Contrastly, BillRun’s monthly cycle is dynamic, enabling easily added new features such as new plans, discounts and coupons. And while some adjustments are always required after installation, with BillRun installation is instant due to the schema-less DB and its advanced flexible development infrastructure.
While some enterprises are hesitant to adopt new technologies, BillRun’s cutting-edge technology has attracted large customers requiring diverse billing solutions, including 4play (fixed/landline, Mobile, Internet Service Provider [ISP] and Video/TV) in Monaco Telecom.
